Shalik

Shalik
The Shalik (myna) is a very common bird in Bangladesh.
The common myna is about the size of an American robin. Its colors range from rich wine-brown on the lower breast to deep black on the head, neck, and upper breast. It has a splash of white on the lower edge of its wings, and its bill and legs are a bright yellow. This myna feeds on plants, insects, and worms. It often builds its nest in crevices of buildings. It is a noisy bird that is common about yards and buildings. It is often seen among chickens or perched on the backs of cattle. People have released the common myna into the wild in many tropical Pacific islands, including Hawaii, where the bird is now abundant. Talking mynas are sometimes kept as pets. Many imitate the human voice and can talk, sing, and whistle.

Doel & King Fisher

Doel:
Doel is the national bird of Bangladesh. It is mixed with black and white. It is common is rural area in Bangladesh. Doel have seen all over during the summer season. It can sing very nicely and not fly very high. It eats insects.

King Fisher:
It is common in Bangladesh to see a bird in a little pond stand on a stick and waiting to catch a fish. The bird is called Machranga in bangla but the english name is Commom Kingfisher. The combination of blue in its body attracts everyone. This is very fast bird which has a passion to catch its food. The most important points to say that these birds need clear water and green srroundings to survive. As the earth losing its beauty for cutting trees and pollution, the kingfisher is also going to be extinct. As a Bangladehsi I really do not want to lose this adorable nice bird.

Squrrel

As other animal, Squirrels are also going too wiped out. There is a rhyme, written by the national poet of Bangladesh about squirrel, named ‘Katbirali’. We know that the squirrels smash up our fruits in trees. However, they do not have sufficient to eat though because of lacking of trees. The squirrels are very innocent and they are available in everywhere in Bangladesh. They love to live in trees and play with their fellow mates. They move fast one tree to other tree. They have sharp teeth. This animal is also important for our biodiversity.
